Solution Audit

The Solution Audit helps establish the status quo, examining the current software and hardware and how they are utilised.

The purpose of the Solution Audit is to establish the status quo. It is a consultative process that collates information that will be used to build a System Catalogue. The information can be categorized as follows:

  • Software Architecture– a list of the products and components of products that are combined to produce the solution. This includes the off the shelf components, their configuration files and any custom elements, whether programs or schemas.
  • Software and Hardware Configuration – the specific configuration needed to meet the business requirements e.g. for throughput, load balancing or resilience.
  • Input Data Description – describes the nature, ownership and format of data sources and any data pre-processing which needed.
