We provide consultancy and project services, as well as a managed operate service. We typically work for mid-market Enterprise businesses as well as some larger organisations and public sector clients. We typically engage with CISO’s, Head of SecOps and their teams.

What we’re looking for

This role will cover the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing business. It is split into two key areas

Sales Development

Our marketing team run campaigns to potential customer organisations. We focus on identifying the personas within target accounts, key responsibilities they have and common pain points they suffer from. The sales development role will follow up with any customers who displays an intent to engage with us. Key tasks would include:

  • Gaining an understanding of the account through desk research
  • Gaining an understanding of key personas
  • Running a sales outreach process to the personas within the account with the primary aim of engaging the prospect in a conversation. This will utilise email, LI and phone as a minimum against a pre-agreed cadence.
  • Engage the prospect in conversation and gather relevant information about the organisation to determine if there is a current opportunity
  • Complete CRM and report back on the potential opportunity to the business for qualification into the sales pipeline or ongoing marketing activity

Business development

The business development stage focusses on opportunities which have been qualified into the pipeline. Key tasks include;

  • For opportunities qualified into the pipeline, follow our chosen sales methodology to close business, working closely with the technical team who will provide sales support.
  • When projects are in progress, contribute to account meetings. Work as part of the account team to determine next steps and potential future opportunities with the customer
  • Where appropriate turn those opportunities into commercial propositions to take back to the customer.

More About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director of this growing business, the role requires curiosity and inquisitiveness, learning what is important to our customers, and how the Apto value proposition may relate to their challenges. To succeed in this role you will also be able to evidence a disciplined, process driven approach to organising your workload. For the successful candidate we offer the ability to grow into a senior sales role, gaining knowledge across the sales process, working in the cyber security space with a range of household names.

This role would suit a graduate, or early career professional, who has the desire and tenacity to develop a career in sales within a technology consultancy business
