Consultant – Data Engineering & Analytics
apto solutions is a leading professional services organisation based in Clifton, Bristol. We provide consultancy and engineering services to deliver monitoring and observability solutions which enhance our client’s cyber-security and IT operations.
We are seeking a number of Consultants to join our growing team.
As a Consultant you will work in small project teams to design, implement and support solutions for our clients. This will utilise specific technologies as well as professional consulting and problem-solving skills to analyse client requirements, design and implement appropriate data models, pipelines, and analytics whilst ensuring data quality and fidelity.
Our engagements are broad and varied: we work with many different types of organisations across different sectors, and across different types of data, and a wide range of analytics. The common factor is enabling our clients to make evidence-based decisions based in real time. Clients include large organisations, both multinational and UK based, in finance, transport, energy, cyber-security, public sector, manufacturing, and others.

Essential
Circa 1-3 years commercial experience working in a relevant domain, such as data, technology, or cyber-security
Strong educational background to degree level in a STEM subject, or equivalent experience
Demonstrable technical competence and analytical approach to problem solving
Flexible and adaptable, with ability to work well in a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and professional approach
Eligible for SC clearance
Desirable
Experience working in a security operations centre (SOC) or IT operations environment
Experience with any of Splunk, Sentinel, AWS, Azure, networking, system administration, data analytics tools, enterprise application architectures, microservice architectures, coverage of multiple OS, SIEM, compliance frameworks.
