Form Development Project

The client a central government body plays an integral role in providing support and information for UK businesses. Newly enforced EU directives required them to allow users to submit information electronically.

Problem

All current forms made available were either in a flattened pdf format or word document format. This meant that if a user wished to submit a form to the relevant authority then they would have to complete it by hand and send by post. With a collection of over 200 forms this was a large scale project, and meant there was the added challenge of gathering and setting out the individual configuration of mandatory fields for each form.

Solution

Apto Solutions using both the scalable form factory as well as Adobe LiveCycle developed a batch process of completing the forms. It also required us to develop the XML schemas for the project. The completed forms were designed with automatic validation logic ensuring forms are completed fully each time. Also once a user is registered on the client’s site their information can be automatically populated into any electronic form.

Conclusion

All of this enabled our client to provide a one stop loaction for business users to submit information using electronic forms to the correct authority quickly and efficiently.
